01The work

He is founder and CEO of Adaptic.ai, where he is building an operating system for autonomous capital — an AI‑native control plane for research, execution, compliance, risk, operations and tokenized fund infrastructure. Adaptic is also the proving ground for the thesis at the heart of AI‑Born: that the next generation of enterprises will not merely use AI as a tool but be operated by small human teams directing fleets of autonomous agents, with judgment, accountability and regulatory responsibility anchored to named humans.

That operating model required a new surface, so he built Neolith — the operating system for AI‑born companies. It brings human and AI colleagues into one workforce, one stream and one audit spine, with charters, approval gates, decision ledgers and runtime infrastructure designed so humans set direction, watch the company run, and intervene where judgment is required. It is not a chatbot layer on a legacy organization; it is the management surface for companies built from AI.

He is also co‑founder and general partner of Future Thesis Lab, a research‑led innovation platform in DIFC, Dubai, co‑founded with Shayan Kargarian. FTLAB studies, designs and co‑builds AI‑born ventures — small, high‑performing human teams coordinating autonomous systems — and serves as the greenfield counterpart to Adaptic’s regulated environment: a place to test new organizational architectures, governance models and venture theses before they harden into companies, policy conversations or institutional deployments.

Before Adaptic, he founded and ran Mothership Ventures, a growth and innovation advisory focused on helping large organizations design, validate and operationalise new products, services and ventures. That work shaped a core concern running through AI‑Born: how incumbents, institutions and small teams alike can cross from legacy operating models into new architectures of execution.

Born in Australia and shaped by years lived across Germany, China and the Middle East, with further work across the United States, the Pacific and Europe, he brings a global lens to questions of technology, governance and economic design. He speaks five languages and writes from the perspective of a builder operating across cultures, jurisdictions and institutional systems.

Across two decades in design, e‑commerce, enterprise software, venture building and financial technology, he has worked at the points where new architectures begin replacing old ones — at the intersection of artificial intelligence, organizational design and economic infrastructure. His wife and young son give that work a personal urgency: a desire to contribute, however modestly, to the conversations that shape how the next economy is designed, governed and shared.

Founder & CEO

An operating system for autonomous capital — research, execution, compliance, risk, operations and tokenized fund infrastructure in one AI‑native control plane. It is where the ideas in AI‑Born are tested under real institutional pressure: small human teams directing autonomous agents inside regulated financial workflows, with every consequential act constrained, attributable and reviewable.

Neolith
02
Founder & CEO

The operating surface for AI‑born companies, built because Adaptic needed somewhere to run. Neolith gives humans and AI colleagues the same organizational surface — same stream, same inbox, same review cycle — while preserving human command through charters, approval gates, audit trails and a single spine of written decisions. Humans hold the agenda; AI does the work.

Co‑Founder & General Partner · DIFC, Dubai

A research‑led innovation platform co‑founded with Shayan Kargarian to architect and co‑build AI‑born ventures. It combines the discipline of a research institution with the practicality of a venture studio: each initiative begins as a falsifiable thesis, becomes an operating model, and is tested through responsible autonomy, governance design and commercial implementation — the lab for the next economy of human judgment and machine execution.

A private foundation co‑founded with his wife, Bronwyn Leong, to support educational initiatives that foster collective identity, human unity and sustainable development. The foundation reflects the civic dimension behind AI‑Born: the belief that new economic architectures should be designed not only for scale and capability, but for shared human flourishing.

In keeping with that belief, Bronwyn and Mehran have committed the substantial majority of their personal economic interests in AI‑born ventures to the foundation, so that the value created by these systems can help fund educational work for the wider human family.
